Jaytilya M. Watkins was born on December 22, 1985 in Dallas, Texas. She moved to Monroeville, Alabama with her parents at the age of 5 years old where she’s been ever since. She graduated from Hillcrest High School in Evergreen, Alabama in 2005. She is the author of three books- The Misunderstood African American Female; Devotion, Obsession, & Deceptions; & Queens in a Warzone. Jaytilya creates illustrations and paintings, and seeks to tell compelling stories through video, the written word, and through her art.
